This value pack contains approximately 400 Australian-grown pinhead live crickets (Acheta domesticus).
Pinhead crickets measure approximately 0.15cm and are around seven days old. At this age, they are wingless, soft-bodied and quiet, making them suitable for hatchling reptiles, tiny frogs, small spiders and other animals requiring extremely small live prey.

Choosing the Correct Cricket Size
Pinhead crickets are our smallest cricket size and are designed for hatchling reptiles, tiny frogs, small spiders and other animals that cannot safely consume larger feeders. As a general guide, choose feeder insects no wider than the space between your animal’s eyes.
Other cricket sizes available include weanie, small, medium and large.
Cricket Care on Arrival
Pinhead crickets require a secure, well-ventilated container with ventilation holes small enough to prevent escape. Add egg carton or another suitable material to provide hiding places and additional surface area.
Provide suitable cricket food and finely prepared leafy greens or a safe hydration source such as water-replacement gel. Avoid open water dishes because pinhead crickets can easily drown. Keep them warm and dry, away from direct sunlight.
